School's Out for the Summer

In our little world school (technically MDO, but we like to call it school) is over for the summer! And it was so sad, but Drew had to miss her last day of school because we have had the fever virus for the last day or so. We were fever free this morning, but not 24hrs. free so I didn't feel comfortable sending her to school. We did however take Drew's teachers their gifts. Drew had an unbelievable teacher this year. She just really went above and beyond for Mother's Day Out. I mean it practically was like pre-school with everything she did for them. She was wonderful and we will miss her this next school year. These are a few pictures of Drew saying good-bye to her teachers and hanging out with Bennett. You can look here to see pictures of Drew's first day of school.

Happy Mother's Day

Drew made the sweetest little Mother's Day gift for me at mother's day out. She (and she really did do it by herself :) put the dry ingredients to the "Crazy Cake" recipe in a mason jar and made a precious card. Inside the card her teacher had printed some of the verses from Proverbs 31

Her children arise and call
her blessed;
her husband also, and he
praises her:

"Many women do noble
things,
but you surpass them
all."
Charm is deceptive, and
beauty is fleeting;

but a woman who fears the
Lord is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has
earned,
and let her works bring her
praise at the city gate.

What inspiring words to live by as a mom. I hope that when my kids look back they will be able to say those things about me, although there are more days than not I fall extremely short. Thanks to all the mom's who work so hard at being the best mom they know how to be, thank you to my mom for working towards being the Proverbs woman and setting a good example for Anna and me.

Happy Mother's Day!

Buggin' Birthday

Drew Bug had a ladybug birthday! It turned out really great considering all of the nasty weather we had for most of the weekend! We had family and a couple of friends over for some backyard fun. We grilled out, jumped on Drew's new trampoline, played ladybug beanbag toss and painted faces. Here are lots of pictures from the "buggin" birthday!

Just for fun... Drew as a ladybug on her first Halloween

Oh sweet Drew... we blinked and you turned three years old! It seems like yesterday you were coming into this world. You are a beautiful and smart little girl. Daddy and I are so lucky to be your parents. We knew we would love you, but we never could have imagined just how much. You are a wonderful big sister and Bennett loves you so much (you know just how to make him smile)! It has been an action packed first 3 years and we can't wait to see what all the others have in store. Happy Birthday Drew Elizabeth.
