Cowgirl Up!

Today was Drew's cousin Ava's, 4th birthday party. She had her party at some horse stables and it was really fun! First, all the kids got to go on a hayride where we stopped and threw rocks in a creek and then headed to a big open field with the horses. There we fed and petted them a little. Next, we headed back to the stables for some horse rides. The entire hayride Drew couldn't stop talking about how she wanted to ride a horse and of course when it came "ride" time she wasn't having it! I can't really blame her, they are rather larger when you stand next to them. Finally, we ate cupcakes (which actually Ava requested blueberry and strawberry muffins with icing, funny enough they were really good) and opened presents. Needless to say we had a great time horse poop and all! Happy Birthday Ava, we love you very much!

Happy Birthday Anna and Michael's Nursery

Yesterday (27th) was Anna's birthday. We went and ate dinner and had cake, ice cream and opened presents afterwards. Anna is 30 weeks pregnant and having a boy named Michael. He is due to be here on November 5. Below are some pictures of Michael's nursery and a video of Drew and Evie saying Happy Birthday to Anna.

Michael's rocking chair (those are real gum balls in the vase!)

Handpainted chest (tourqoise, lime and gold distress the drawers are giraffe print with red handles)

Two things are missing from the nursery... A handmade/handpainted mirror that will go above the changing table and Michael's initials will be painted on the wall as you walk into the nursery

Q.F.T.

Quality Family Time... I heard someone saying this the other day and I liked it. So, I'm gonna use it too! Brandan was off on Monday this week instead of Wednesday (if he takes off at all) and we spent a lot of time out side... like I'm sure everyone else is doing. This weather is GREAT! While we were waiting on dinner to finish (the Stouffer's Lasagna that I slaved so hard over) we played around in the backyard... enjoying some quality family time that you can never get enough of!

"I love you, Momma"

Today I was holding Drew for just a sec. and I started to rock her a little and I heard her say, "I wuv you, Momma". My heart just melted! She has NEVER said that on her own before! I usually tell her that I love her and will ask her if she loves me and whenever we are leaving grandparents houses I ask her to say "I love you", but today it came all from her. Ahhh.... she does love me!

Just Because

I am feeling very thankful today for my healthy little girl. God blessed us with a smart, beautiful and full of personality Drew. Sometimes I feel like I take for granted how lucky we are... I love you Drew.

Curious Little Mind

Drew walked down the driveway with me to check the mail this afternoon and as we were walking back up she began asking me a few questions.

"Who made the grass?" she asked.
"God did."
Then she pointed to the other side of the driveway, "Who made that grass?"
"God made that grass too," I told her.
A little farther up the driveway she asked, "Who made the sticks?"
"God."
Then as we were almost to the garage she says...
" Well who made this mess on the floor?!"
I got so tickled, but tried not to laugh too hard.
I responded, "Momma and Daddy made that mess when we cleaned out the garage yesterday". She also began laughing and finally said,"Why we do that??"

Now that's gotta put a smile on your face!
