Halloween Festivities

Thursday Drew had her Halloween parade at preschool and her party after. The parade was through downtown Benton. We went to different businesses, paraded through and they passed out candy to all the kids. It was quite a sight with nearly 50 3year olds and all their entourage making our way across streets and through buildings. We were glad to be back at the preschool by the end, it took us nearly an hour! Drew was in a funky mood that morning and didn't like me taking her picture. Despite that, all the girls looked really cute!

Drew's class picture... As I said she was in a "mood" and I couldn't get her to get in the group picture... grrrr-"pick your battles"

Momma with one earring... Thank you Bennett

Not the greatest picture, but I'll take what I can get and this is what I got

Later that evening we had our Sunday school party. I dressed Bennett up for this one. He cracks me up in his costume. I call him the blind pumpkin because his little hat ends up completely covering his eyes and yet it doesn't slow him down at all.

My little Pumpkin Patch... see the patches on his legs and sleeves :)

Michael is the cowardly lion to go with Evie's Dorothy costume... this is the best shot I got of him. He and Bennett have the same problem with their hats :)

Happy Halloween

Busy Squirrel

Tuesday during Bennett's nap, Drew and I went outside to play and Drew was very excited to find an abundant supply of acorns in the backyard. She began gathering as many as she could and kept saying, "Look more!" She thought we should gather them up and bring them in the house... I convinced her we'd better leave them outside for the squirrels. After her acorn gathering she let me take a few pictures.

Something New

Last Sunday after church, Brandan was headed to Target determined to find something that would "contain" Bennett. Bennett has literally turned into a one man tornado over night. In fact, that Sunday morning as I dropped him off in nursery I told them I wasn't sure if he was a "lamb" anymore, I think it might be time for him to be moved to "turtles"... a very active turtle at that :). Anyway, I told Brandan good luck with his little venture... but I'm pretty sure there is no containing him! Well, he didn't come home empty handed. He brought home this ball pit thingy that Bennett and Drew both liked. So did it "contain" Bennett? Not exactly, but it did entertain... for a few minutes anyway. He gets an "A" for effort :).

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Today we went to the pumpkin patch with Drew's 3year old preschool. It was fun! A little warm for October, but fun. There was lots to do for the kids... petting zoo, a jump jump, hay stack, swing set and hay ride... there was more, but you get the idea... kids running everywhere!! Bennett enjoyed it too, he had a lot of fun on the hayride! Brandan's mom went with us and I was very thankful for that, she was a huge help and Drew loved having her there. Honey, Brandan and Chad even made it over from work to hang out for a little while. I got some really cute pictures...

Pumpkin Patch Children's Corner 2010

Papa had requested a pumpkin for his desk and that was Drew's first priority when she got there... I had to carry that thing around the whole time!

Gummy Grin... except for one little tip of a tooth on the bottom right :)

I told Drew she matched the John Deere perfectly!
